Job Summary
Property Coordinator to support daily operations of a residential property portfolio, serving as the primary liaison between residents, vendors, and the property management team. Responsibilities include handling resident inquiries, coordinating inspections and maintenance, facilitating move-ins/move-outs and related charges, onboarding new properties, supporting leasing activities, coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with policies and laws, and maintaining documentation of on-site observations and workflows. Role requires field presence, after-hours availability on a rotating basis, and collaboration with leasing teams and virtual assistants to streamline processes. Proficiency with property management software (AppFolio/Buildium/Yardi), Google Workspace, and smartphone apps is expected, along with a valid driver’s license. The position involves work in both office and outdoor site environments with regular travel between properties.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in property management, social services, or a related field
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a residential property or customer service-focused role
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive resident interactions
- Familiarity with local housing regulations, rental assistance programs, and fair housing laws is a plus
- Self-directed and dependable with excellent time management and follow-through
- Comfortable working in the field, traveling between sites, and occasionally responding to after-hours needs
- Technologically proficient with regular use of smartphone apps, email, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive, etc.)
- Experience with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi) preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
