Job Summary
Property Claims Representative for a regional insurance carrier with internal title Field Property Claims Representative. Responsible for technical claim-handling including investigation, evaluation, and negotiations for Property, Collapse, Earth Movement, and Total Loss of buildings. Conduct site inspections (roofs, basements, attics) and write estimates using Xactimate. Serve as a technical supervisor in the manager’s absence and mentor less experienced claims reps. Low-to-high complexity claims handling with strong coverage analysis and negotiation skills; draft coverage position letters and denial letters as applicable. Remote/field role with mileage reimbursement and stipend; includes benefits such as medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) match, and education reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of claim experience
- 3+ years handling complex property claim files
- strong coverage analysis skills
- advanced estimating expertise
- ability to negotiate high-value settlements
- ability to draft coverage position letters, reservation of rights, and denial letters when applicable
- reside in San Jose or San Francisco areas for full consideration
