Job Summary
Manage the activities of the property field claims unit by ensuring the timely investigation, evaluation, reservation, and equitable settlement of field claims. Select and appraise unit employees while mentoring and training staff to ensure quality claims services. Perform file reviews, field re-inspections, and develop the unit budget to assist in planning. Create innovative ideas for claims handling that improve operations and contribute to the company's catastrophe plan. Stay abreast of statutory and regulatory activities to protect legal and financial interests. Requires five years of claims handling experience and supervisory skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of claims handling, both homeowners and commercial
- Successful experience in setting goals, organizing work flow, scheduling, monitoring work, and providing training
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- CPCU and/or AIC designation
- Previous supervisory experience
