Job Summary
Oversee and manage a portfolio of examining and directly handled property claims, providing direction and oversight over the execution of claims steps and customer service rendered by a Third Party Adjuster; ensure alignment with Aviva's practices, manage IA investigation, quantification, analysis, adjustment, and settlement of property claims; coordinate with specialists and vendors to control indemnity spend while delivering high-quality customer service; role is hybrid with Canada-based operations and requires strong knowledge of property insurance, claims handling, and negotiation.
Required Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of the property insurance industry
- 5+ years of commercial and residential property experience
- Strong construction knowledge
- Strong digital literacy
- Understanding of property insurance case law
- Knowledge of property coverage wordings
- Basic accounting skills
- Excellent report writing and negotiation skills
- Licensing in NB, PEI & NFLD (asset)
