Property Claims Examiner (12 Month Contract)

Manage an allocated portfolio of property claims by analyzing first reports to determine the nature of loss, coverage, and scope of damage. Assess claims against Chubb's service level and the General Insurance Code of Practice, including determining coverage, reserving within timeframes, making payments, and responding to customer queries. Communicate effectively via telephone and written correspondence with brokers, claimants, and underwriters while accurately documenting all developments in the claim workstation file. Proactively apply claims policies regarding fraud, salvage, and cost containment, and negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate. Seek technical guidance for claims exceeding delegated authority and participate in departmental training and meetings as required.
