Property Caretaker (Live-in)

Job Summary
Maintain residential properties by living onsite, cleaning common areas, performing landscaping, and addressing common deficiencies through repairs or escalation. Conduct weekly inspections of vacant units, test fire alarms and emergency generators, and inspect sidewalks and driveways at least three times daily during winter. Respond to all emergencies including fire, flood, and utility failures while securing the property by managing master keys and resident access. Sort garbage, recycling, and organics, maintain garbage rooms, and assist the property manager in attracting new residents and ensuring suitable living conditions.
Required Qualifications
- valid driver's license and access to vehicle
- three plus years of experience in building and mechanical maintenance repair, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge in using hand and power tools
- clean driving record
- problem solving- ownership of responsibilities , able to anticipate and address issues in emergency situations
- great communication skills – able to interact with tenants, people focused, positive and stay professional
- time management – organized, set priorities, meet daily targets and deadlines
- be on-call for inspecting and for addressing service requests
