Job Summary
The Property Associate provides office, property or portfolio operational and administrative support to the Property Manager staff. The role focuses on tenant communication, leasing coordination, rent processing, maintenance dispatch, financial support and system execution. Core responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for routine tenant and resident communications, triaging and coordinating maintenance requests, supporting leasing activities (showings, applications, lease preparation), processing rent payments and tracking delinquencies, coordinating vendors and follow-up on work orders, maintaining tenant files and compliance documentation, and generating standard operational reports using property management software. Leasing administration includes scheduling showings, processing applications and documentation, preparing leases and renewals using templates, and coordinating tenant onboarding. Qualities sought: attentiveness to detail, reliability, sense of humor, competitive spirit, willingness to do whatever it takes, and reliable transportation. This is a part-time role (12-20 hours per week) in San Jose, CA. A CA real estate license and experience in property management are preferred.
