Job Summary
Property Assessment Assistant performs temporary administrative support for the Assessment team, including collecting, verifying, and inputting property information; creating and maintaining data on assessment rolls and documents; assisting with assessment appeals; handling correspondence from property owners; preparing and emailing essential reports; data collection and entry into mass appraisal systems; and providing general administrative support with proficiency in Microsoft Office and photo documentation as part of supporting the Assessment and Finance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 or GED equivalent
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional customer service skills with internal and external customers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods and interact with the public as required
- Occasional lifting and moving of heavy parcels
- Occasional driving may be required
