Job Summary
Provide general administration and support to the property management office, including assisting with vacancy and arrears management. Prepare and process legal forms and notices, such as N4 and N5, while maintaining and administering tenant files to ensure documentation accuracy. Support the Property Management team with day-to-day operational requirements, inputting maintenance-related purchase orders and processing administrative financial information. Offer professional and timely tenant liaison and communication, applying strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong administrative experience, preferably within residential property management
- Energetic and collaborative approach to the workplace, with the ability to lead by example and demonstrate a positive, solutions-oriented can-do attitude
- Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and develop new ideas and approaches that produce practical and supportable results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply logic and sound reasoning when managing projects, reviewing information, and addressing complex financial, legal, and contractual matters
- Ability to assess situations, identify appropriate solutions or recommendations, and communicate those recommendations effectively to management
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize responsibilities, and manage tasks with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek guidance or support
Desired Qualifications
- Residential property management experience is considered an asset
- An asset if you have experience using Yardi or similar property management and financial software
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) is considered an asset
