Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, and prepare estimates for property claims, with a specific focus on water losses. Travel to customers' homes to assess damage and handle virtual claims countrywide using Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, and third-party carriers while documenting work accurately in the claims system. Provide empathetic communication and resolve complex situations to ensure prompt claim resolution. Requires 2 years of outside adjuster experience, proficiency in estimating software, and the ability to carry a 50-pound ladder for roof access. Includes 2 weeks of initial training in Dallas, TX, and a $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Residency within the Chicago, IL city limits
- Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder
- Ability to access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one to two-story roof
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel as part of the job requirements
- Ability to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license
- Ability to pass a background check with the Department of Labor
- Ability to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
