Job Summary
Prepare financial information for properties under the direction of the Property Controller, ensuring records are timely, accurate, and reliable. Record revenue and expense accruals, depreciation, and journal entries; review check runs and maintain vendor files; reconcile bank accounts, receivables, payables, and fixed assets. Complete monthly procedures for assigned communities, assist in preparing financial statements and year-end audit activities, and generate weekly accounting reports and monthly AME packets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience with common technical accounting skills and accounting concepts, including journal entries, and balance sheets
- Experience with general ledger analysis
- Experience working with accrual basis, cash basis, and operating expenditures
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to read, analyze, articulate, and compile financial reports used for business correspondence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred
