Job Summary
Reconcile bank accounts and cash tracking schedules monthly while analyzing general ledger accounts for correct coding. Prepare monthly financial statements, reports for regulatory requirements, and annual audit work papers for designated entities. Track special projects, manage replacement reserve draws, and review accounts payable to ensure proper expenditure coding. Alert the Controller and assist in resolving accounting problems as they arise. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, current CPA license preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must work extended hours and weekends during audit periods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- At least one year experience in financial accounting
- Working knowledge of computer hardware and competency with computer software, including accounting systems and property management systems
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when important deadlines must be met
- Accuracy, timeliness and adherence to professional standards
- Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, co-workers and persons outside the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPA license preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- RealPage preferred
