Job Summary
Maintain assigned property and partnership general ledger accounts while monitoring daily cash flow, forecasting funds, and approving disbursements based on timing and availability. Monitor escrow and reserve accounts to ensure proper funding per loan and partnership agreements. Participate in monthly conference calls to review financial operations, assist with cash projections, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors and lenders. Submit ACH transfer requests, prepare year-end audit files, reconcile trial balances, and support tax return preparation. Handle special projects as required by the department or properties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
- Minimum of 2 years in an Accounting or Finance related role
- Self direct and manage multiple projects, objectives, & deadlines
- Research and respond to detailed requests, orally & in writing
- Use a computer for Word, Excel and e-mail
- Work in a collaborative manner, as a member of a project or team
- Relate professionally with auditors, property owners, investors and Executive Management
- Communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Commit to the mission and values of the management company
- Be flexible with changing work plans
- Maintain a professional personal appearance
- Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods
- Frequently required to read documents, written and financial reports, and plans
- Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise
- Must be able to speak clearly, be understood and understand the spoken English language
- Frequently required to concentrate in intense detail with constant interruption
- Must be able to tend to a task/function for 1 hour or more
- Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time
- Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days
- Frequent exposure to seasonal conditions in outside weather
- Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises
- Frequently required to use a computer, phone, copier, and fax machine
