Job Summary
Drive a transport truck to haul liquid propane to various Tiger Fuel locations, monitoring loading and unloading equipment such as pumps, valves, and hoses to ensure safety. Perform physical tasks including pulling hoses, climbing onto the top of the tanker, and handling heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs. Operate in tight quarters and varying weather conditions while communicating with dispatchers and customers. Work primarily outside during shifts from 2am to 2pm, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime. Maintain a safe driving record and pass a DOT physical.
Required Qualifications
- Class A Transport Driver license
- Proper haz-mat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Medical card
- One (1) year experience driving large truck
- Physically capable of using equipment to load and unload transport trucks
- Capability to pull hoses
- Capability to climb onto the top of the tanker
- Capability to participate in heavy lifting
- Capability to bend
- Capability to squat
- Capability to climb
- Capability to carry hoses/nozzles weighing 50 lbs
- Experience driving in snow
- Experience driving in ice
- Experience driving in other weather conditions
- Experience maneuvering in tight quarters
- Acceptable driving record with no major convictions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Ability to communicate effectively in written correspondence
- High school level math competence
- Ability to read road signs
- Ability to understand instructions
- Ability to understand routes
- Ability to understand paperwork
- Ability to demonstrate a great attitude dealing with customers
- Ability to demonstrate a great attitude dealing with coworkers
- Ability to demonstrate a great attitude dealing with other drivers
- Patience during load/wait times
- Patience during traffic
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Availability for alternative shifts
- Availability for long hours
- Availability to work on weekends
- Ability to work additional assigned loads in compliance with DOT regulations
