Propane Delivery Technician

Job Summary
Deliver bulk propane orders to residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers while safely operating LPG-equipped delivery vehicles. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for leaks and equipment damage, connect hoses to customer tanks, monitor transfers, and conduct leak checks. Track deliveries and inventory via handheld terminals, interact with customers regarding safety procedures, and respond to emergencies or out-of-gas situations. Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness. Requires a Class B CDL with Hazmat and Air Brake endorsements, passing physical, drug, and background screenings. Horizon Resources will train the right candidate.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) typically Class B or higher
- Hazmat endorsement
- Air Brake endorsement
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening including physical, drug test, and background check specific to hazardous materials drivers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with LPG pumping systems
- Knowledge of DOT regulations for hazardous materials transport
- Familiarity with propane specific delivery procedures
- Experience with handheld terminals or propane delivery software
- Ability to track LPG deliveries, propane inventory levels, and customer payments
- Experience identifying additional energy product needs
- Experience responding to propane emergencies or out-of-gas situations
- Experience maintaining cleanliness and proper operation of propane delivery vehicles and LPG transfer equipment
