Job Summary
Evaluate lesson content, including print materials, slide decks, online lessons, and practice tests, for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines in both English and Spanish. Accurately report identified issues through a ticketing system or according to provided guidelines while maintaining consistent quality across all produced materials. Communicate regularly with the MasteryPrep team regarding deadlines, feedback, and work progress to ensure prompt turnaround, typically within 24 hours. This part-time 1099 contract role supports the mission to help students of all score levels reach college-ready mastery.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of proofreading or editing experience
- Excellent communication skills, which include a strong command of both English and Spanish languages and respective grammar rules
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Comfortability reviewing a range of subjects including ELA, STEM, and Social Sciences
- Able to quickly learn new technology and enforce detailed standards according to style guides
- Able to follow deadlines and produce quality work with a prompt turnaround, typically within 24 hours
- Stable internet connection
- Slack messaging
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Adobe Acrobat DC
