Job Summary
Promotions Assistant to support the Promotions Team and Marketing at the Books Division (University of Chicago Press). Responsibilities include handling communications, processing review copy requests, coordinating media outreach and interviews, processing media reviews, supervising student assistants, conducting media research, assisting with sales conference preparations and catalogs, and contributing to marketing communications and digital marketing efforts. Requires a college degree and up to 2 years of related experience; strong written/verbal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Travel involved for domestic needs.
Required Qualifications
- College or university degree in a related field
- Knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Fluency with Microsoft Office, Google office suite, database, word processing, and spreadsheet software
