Job Summary
Provide college and career advising to high school students across four Sioux Falls high schools, including assisting with college applications, financial aid, scholarships, FAFSA, and career exploration. Support first-generation post-secondary students, students from diverse backgrounds, and students from low-income backgrounds. Help students explore college majors, military opportunities, and various career paths, coordinate workshops, college visits, internships, and mentorships, and collaborate with school counselors to monitor progress and readiness initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, counseling/social work, business administration, or related experience
- Minimum 2 years work experience with basic knowledge of college admissions, financial aid, scholarships and workforce development
- Availability to work evenings or weekends for scheduled shifts, events or meetings
