Job Summary
Lead capital projects up to $10M from concept through implementation, commissioning, and handoff, ensuring safe, on-time, and budget-compliant delivery. Manage project scope, cost estimates, schedules, resources, procurement, and contractor relationships while partnering with operations and engineering teams to improve site processes and infrastructure. Provide technical leadership by developing specifications, reviewing designs, troubleshooting issues, and supporting equipment installation and startup activities. Identify, plan, and execute investments supporting increased production capacity and long-term strategic growth for the Decatur site. Communicate status to leadership, manage the site capital budget, and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (or other similar engineering degree)
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering, project management, or related manufacturing experience
- Proven experience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge across engineering disciplines
- Experience interpreting engineering and construction drawings
- Ability to perform technical problem-solving
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Travel as required
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification (or willingness to pursue certification)
- Six Sigma experience
- Knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP/FMEA, and process engineering principles
