Job Summary
Support service users by assisting with independent living skills, cooking, cleaning, and budgeting while maintaining a safe environment. Assess individual needs to refer clients to appropriate agencies and conduct keyworking with residents, documenting progress and advocating for them. Liaise with external agencies, health boards, and county councils to coordinate care. Adhere to all quality assurance policies, Depaul procedures, and health and safety standards. Supervise volunteers, participate in team handovers, and engage in regular supervision and professional development. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization's values and ethos.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year's paid experience working in a drug free/ recovery model setting
- Must have experience of care planning and keyworking
- A solid understanding of the recovery models such as 12 steps
- Good working knowledge of risk assessment processes and systems
- Process an understanding of harm reduction and low threshold working
- Process an understanding of why people become homeless and the issues they present with
- Have experience working with needs assessment, keyworking and support planning for people in recovery from various addictions
- Have a knowledge of the statutory and voluntary sector resources available to homeless people
- Understand the importance for Health and Safety in a residential setting
- Be a good communicator
- computer literate
- Knowledge and understanding of Depaul vision mission and values
- Proficient use of IT required in role, including email in a professional capacity
Desired Qualifications
- Recovery Coaching qualification and experience would be beneficial but not essential
