Job Summary
Managing the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures on various components. Responsibilities include writing complex test procedures and protocols, reviewing test results to assess product performance against NAVSEA specifications, and supporting Root Cause Analysis efforts. The role requires organizing meetings between customers and contractors, advising engineering teams, and developing technical responses for information requests. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required, along with 2+ years of relevant testing experience or a Master's degree in lieu. Excellent communication skills and eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance from DoD are also needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience in materials or mechanical testing
- Eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance from DoD
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in non-destructive testing preferred
- Proficient in the use of standard office computer software including Microsoft Windows and MS Office
- Excellent analytical, organizational/planning, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older at time of application
- Able to provide proof of US Person Status
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required
- No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
- No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
- Willing to submit to a drug screen
- Willing to submit to a background check
