Job Summary
Project Technologist in Hazardous Materials supporting site investigations and field data collection for asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead, and related materials. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing building material samples, supervising remediation activities and abatement contractors, preparing detailed reports with findings and recommendations, coordinating with clients and subcontractors to ensure health and safety compliance, and providing technical insight to project teams while maintaining strong client relationships. Requires a college diploma or bachelor’s degree in relevant environmental/construction/engineering fields, familiarity with building systems, proficiency with MS Office, and willingness to travel with occasional weekend work; Hybrid work arrangement available in Tilbury, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma in Environmental, Construction, Architectural Technology, or a Bachelor of Science, Applied Science, or Engineering, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-directed, able to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a personal vehicle.
- Availability to travel to client sites for short-term assignments.
- Flexibility to work outside core hours and on weekends as required.
