Job Summary
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting services to analytics and data collection team members for IT-related issues, including diagnosing network connectivity, printers, and hardware problems. Assist in developing digital data collection platforms, creating utility programs in PHP, and managing software tools for data analysis and reporting. Implement cybersecurity measures to protect research data from unauthorized access, establish backup procedures to prevent data loss, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Coordinate with end-users for data backup operations, maintain device and inventory records, and document all support interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus three Years' experience / or Post graduate degree in technology or relevant subject/field
- ICMR age norms will apply, applicants must be age 35 years or below
- Good knowledge of MS Office/LibreOffice components like Excel, word, and presentation
- Proven experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting IT systems
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Familiarity with networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience in the ethical use of AI tools (chatGPT etc.)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of creating programs in PHP
- Willingness to travel to the field as per requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient communication in Hindi and local dialect
- Proficient communication in English
- Knowledge of Python, Stata, or other analysis tools
- Knowledge of database platforms like MySQL and Postgres
