Job Summary
Mobilize and demobilize construction project trailers nationwide while installing networking, AV, and related equipment. Participate in preconstruction meetings to assess project needs for information systems and connectivity, then assist planning with the Project Manager and Superintendent to meet schedule requirements. Trend upcoming work by meeting with Business Development leaders and champion "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes through honesty, unity, and safety. Assist with procurement, service, and repair contracts for copiers and other equipment, while reducing inefficiencies caused by system variations. Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one-year experience
- training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
