Job Summary

Organize field schedules, prepare worksheets and points, and manage field personnel while collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to understand survey requirements. Perform complex survey work including boundary, topographic, and ALTA/title surveys by reading construction plans, plats, and worksheets. Operate and maintain survey equipment such as robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors, then create legal descriptions and exhibits across multiple states. Maintain records of office documents, final surveys, and completed fieldwork, taking an active approach to as-built documents with reviewers and contractors. Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and regulations related to surveying techniques and technology.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in surveying field software
  • Hands-on experience with surveying instruments and equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards governing survey practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driver's License required
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and perform fieldwork across uneven terrain and construction sites
  • Ability to lift and carry survey equipment and materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate survey instruments and related technology
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
