Job Summary
Lead land surveying operations for construction and development projects. Perform topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and CAD software to prepare site maps, stake construction sites, and oversee field crews. Prepare detailed maps, reports, plots, and legal descriptions with AutoCAD Civil 3D; ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate with project managers to verify data accuracy. Requires a surveying degree and licensure (PLS) with 3–7+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or similar field
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is often required or preferred
- 3–7+ years of experience in land surveying, specifically construction or boundary surveying
- Strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
