Job Summary
Project Support Specialist role within Alcon's Engineering function focusing on Manufacturing Science & Technology. Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating new production materials, equipment, and technologies; conducting feasibility tests; collaborating with vendors and partner functions; ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality standards; assisting with SAP material set-up and BOM/Routing tasks; supporting change controls and documentation; designing efficient manufacturing layouts and providing guidance on technical specifications to maximize equipment and manufacturing technique utilization. Location: onsite in Houston, TX. Skills include SAP experience, BOM/Routing setup, vendor coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and documentation/compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
- 1-2 years of SAP experience
- Understanding of Bill of Materials/Routing set-up
