Job Summary
Conduct maintenance availability planning support, including third-party planning work specification reviews and pre-availability meeting coordination. Validate GMP, engineering service requests, and correct action reports while representing the Navy as the technical point of contact for contracted maintenance availabilities. Coordinate FTA visits, initiate LARs to planning yards, and manage KE/MS certifications and technical procedure validations. Maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and execute shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits. Requires an associate degree, seven to ten years of shipboard HM&E experience, and proficiency in naval engineering metrics and system validation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
- 7 to 10 years of shipboard HM&E experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering key performance tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures
- Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to critical shipboard assessments
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- MS Office suite proficiency
- Have completed, or ability to complete, local RMC Job Certification Requirements training within two years of hire
- Direct knowledge of NAVOSH program
- Direct knowledge of Navy Tag-Out Users' Manual requirements
- Familiarity with Navy 3M program
- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
- Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with MFOM/ NMD/ VSB/ eDFS/ eCASREP/ and NDE a plus
