Job Summary

Manage welding projects across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases while controlling critical path schedules and budgets. Lead field crews of 5 to 80 personnel, overseeing resource mobilization, equipment logistics, and daily safety compliance with Brazilian regulatory standards. Serve as the primary client liaison, conducting site inspections, managing scope changes, and identifying upsell opportunities. Submit project documentation within ten days of completion and lead post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement. Work in demanding industrial environments across Brazil and internationally, including refineries and power plants, with extended shifts up to 12 hours during deployments.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years progressive responsibility in site management and on-site operations
  • 5+ years hands-on management of craftsmen
  • 3+ years of turnaround experience (experience with the operations and environments of chemical and petroleum industry facilities)
  • Valid Brazilian driver's license (Category B or equivalent)
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with Brazilian Regulatory Standards (Normas Regulamentadoras - NRs) applicable to welding and industrial site operations, including but not limited to NR-6, NR-12, NR-15, NR-16, NR-33, and NR-35
  • Experience with specialized technology-based field services operations servicing offshore, refining, petrochemical and power industries is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on management style with technical credibility
  • Proven ability to coordinate, organize, plan, and execute complex industrial projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for supervising teams and engaging with clients
  • High degree of self-sufficiency, initiative, and accountability
  • Strong situational leadership: adjusts between directive and supportive approaches as needed
  • Willingness to lead or support in a team-based environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management software
  • Receptive to new ideas; collaborative team player
  • Understanding of cost control principles and efficient budget management
  • Ability to work effectively in industrial environments
  • Physically fit and capable of working in demanding field environments
  • Adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented under pressure
  • Able to balance operational execution with strategic thinking
  • Must be physically capable of navigating industrial work sites and meeting health and safety entry requirements
  • Extensive travel (4-7 months per year), with most projects lasting 2-6 weeks in duration, including international assignments
  • Long working hours, typically 12-hour shifts, are standard during project deployments
  • Work is often conducted with personal protective equipment (PPE), in confined spaces and at heights
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM or project management systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
  • Additional languages are an asset
  • Experience with specialized technology-based field services operations servicing offshore, refining, petrochemical and power industries is preferred
