Job Summary
Project Supervisor employed within the Engineering Division can be assigned to multiple offices and perform sub-professional civil engineering work as a member of a survey crew, construction field inspector, materials testing technician or traffic technician on construction or maintenance projects. Work is ordinarily closely supervised by the survey party chief, an engineer, or an inspector/technician of higher rank. Assignments involve construction of roads, bridges or storm water drainage systems, county drains and subdivisions, and include routine inspections and tests of construction materials to ensure conformance with contract specifications.
