Project Superintendent

Job Summary

Review conceptual and design documents for constructability and site logistics. Establish project safety expectations, create hazard-specific programs, and enforce disciplinary actions for violations. Coordinate site traffic, equipment placement, and trade contractor work plans through progress meetings. Oversee technical document interpretation, manage submittals, and authorize purchase requisitions. Maintain rolling punch lists, verify contractor timesheets, and compile daily progress reports including weather and safety inspections. Analyze project status against goals to develop contingency plans and resolve contractual disputes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Superintendent
  • Successful completion of classes or other training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication
  • Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience
  • Ability to manage and plan work activities
  • Ability to recognize safety concerns while promoting a safe culture amongst our team, partners, and trade contractors
  • Ability to demonstrate interest and familiarity with site requirements, tools, methods, and materials as it relates to the entire range of trade divisions
  • Ability to understand job cost accounting practices and ability to analyze reports
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large trade and subcontractor groups
  • Basic computer skills and a basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, Procore, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and a firm understanding of Microsoft Project
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug and background screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated progress in leadership experience on multiple small projects ranging from $500K to $5M and larger single projects up to $40M
  • OSHA 30-Hour, First-Aid/CPR, and other safety/quality related certifications
