Job Summary
Manage project crews and subcontractors to complete work safely, on time, and on budget. Lead daily scheduling of labor and equipment by 1:00 PM, coordinate utility requirements, and submit rolling two-week look-ahead plans. Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, including digging and marking test holes, reporting utility damage, and conducting toolbox talks. Supervise foremen and submit accurate daily time sheets and equipment reports. Secure site plans and plan project work four weeks in advance.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field
- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Experience supporting excavation and piles or sewer or waste plants
- Experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental)
- Must be capable of meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
- Above average interpersonal skills
- Excellent follow-through capability
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to accurately process written documents
- Ability to perform duties in a timely manner
- Be highly organized
- Ability to interface
- Ability to communicate effectively with company, clients and field personnel at all levels
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer at least 3 years' experience in a superintendent roll on a contract with a value of $10M+
