Job Summary
Project Superintendent responsible for running day-to-day operations on construction sites in Southeast Michigan. Leads coordination of subcontractors, sequencing of work activities, maintains project schedule, enforces safety rules, and ensures quality control for safe, successful project completion. Key duties include reviewing design development documents for constructability and phasing, establishing site safety programs, coordinating site logistics, facilitating weekly meetings with trade contractors, and preparing daily progress and safety reports. Requires leadership experience, ability to interpret construction documents, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, BIM, Microsoft Project) to align with project goals and contractual requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Superintendent
- Successful completion of classes or other training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication
- Ability to manage and plan work activities and promote a safe culture
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Project
