Job Summary
Project Superintendent responsible for running day-to-day operations on construction sites in the greater central Michigan region. Manages coordination of subcontractors, sequencing of work activities, and maintaining the project schedule while enforcing quality control and safety rules to ensure safe, on-time project completion. Key duties include reviewing conceptual, schematic, and design development documents for constructability; recommending construction options; establishing site safety expectations and safety orientations for all entrants; planning site logistics and traffic patterns; coordinating with the Project Manager, client, and trade contractors to develop work plans; overseeing technical interpretation of documents, construction methods, and equipment; communicating quality expectations with trade foremen; arranging pre-installation coordination and timely permitting/inspections; maintaining rolling punch lists and daily progress reports; and leveraging tools like Procore, BIM, BIM-related workflows, Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Office to manage schedules and collaboration. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, five years of leadership experience in commercial construction, and the ability to write and communicate clearly to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Superintendent
- Successful completion of classes or other training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication
