Job Summary
Project Superintendent responsible for directing project personnel, coordinating safety and planning, and ensuring project progress on schedule and within budget for earthwork and underground utility projects in the Ft. Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA areas. Duties include developing and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors; coordinating manpower and equipment; ordering and scheduling materials; preparing safety-related and work planning documentation; submitting daily reports on working conditions and productions; and enforcing OSHA and Harnden Safety policies. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or 3 years of related experience), a valid driver’s license, experience with heavy equipment (GPS experience preferred), strong communication and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to pass fit tests for PPE, and the physical ability to perform required tasks. Supervisory experience and OSHA or safety certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) OR 3 years related experience and/or training
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience operating heavy equipment, especially excavators, bulldozers; GPS experience preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Problem solving and priority setting
- Composure and conflict resolution
- Basic internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE
- Ability to meet physical requirements
