Job Summary
Supervise craft personnel and manage safety, quality, and schedule adherence on construction projects. Act as liaison between field engineering and project craft to ensure compliance of drawings and specifications. Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors, and Kiewit staff to maintain smooth workflow and schedule adherence. Resolve employee conflicts and scheduling difficulties, assist in schedule planning, determine craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements, and ensure adherence to safety, attendance, and nondiscrimination policies. The role requires travel as needed and is based out of Aiken, SC with projects along the East Coast. Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, safety regulations, and engineering drawings is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to ethics and safety.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ work experience in the construction industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Previous knowledge/experience in vertical building setting required
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and objectives
