Job Summary
On-site MEP Inspector in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan area responsible for inspecting construction activities, coordinating pre-construction meetings, reading blueprints and technical drawings, verifying codes and change orders, documenting field work with IDRs, and communicating findings to owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. Must ensure safety and code compliance, assess constructability from approved drawings, review shop drawings, and assist with RFIs and field conditions. Provides reporting, site supervision, and support across projects of varying sizes, with emphasis on regulatory adherence, scheduling and budget awareness, and coordination among stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 7+ years of field inspection/management experience, OSHA 30 certification, and NYC DOB knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years’ relevant experience managing and/or inspecting field work
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, with 30 Hour OSHA Safety Certification
- Knowledge of NYC DOB requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
