Job Summary
Safety Engineer on travel-based projects responsible for developing and administering project safety programs, conducting weekly jobsite safety inspections, coordinating site orientations for new workers, reviewing subcontractor safety plans, leading regular safety meetings, delivering site safety training, maintaining safety records, and driving proactive safety initiatives to prevent incidents across assigned projects, including near-miss/hazard reporting and coaching workers in safe work methods.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Safety and Health or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction
- OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish and intercultural communication skills is preferred
- Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
