Job Summary
Project Specialist roles support the PMO by coordinating and executing organizational projects across departments (Community Health, Food Access, Workforce Development, Faith-Based Initiatives). Responsibilities include researching and documenting tasks, vendor communication, training rollout, and logistics; developing timelines, tracking milestones, and reporting results; engaging internal teams and community partners; collecting and analyzing program data, preparing status reports and compliance materials; coordinating project-related budgets, procurement, and volunteer activities; and possibly managing a small caseload for community-facing projects.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Community Development, Business, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in community-based project coordination, service delivery, or nonprofit programs.
- Skills: Proficient in project coordination tools and documentation; Strong written and verbal communication; Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Technology: Comfort with Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and data systems.
