Job Summary
Conduct special project work in assigned area stores, including stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction, and detail work. Move between locations to cover onsite staff vacancies, handling hard floor care, carpet maintenance, dusting, and routine restroom cleaning. Train subordinate staff and store leads on proper cleaning methods, equipment use, safety practices, and the recoating process. Identify staff development needs and ensure appropriate training is obtained. Work under limited supervision in a collaborative relationship with Building Maintenance team members. Ability to work night shifts and early morning hours as dictated by store needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to regularly lift 45 pounds
- Ability to push and pull floor cleaning equipment over concrete, tile and carpeted floors
- Must possess sufficient physical strength, ability and stamina to perform a variety of janitorial tasks related to care of floors
- Ability to work with a variety of cleaning products
- Ability to work night shift and/or very early morning hours as dictated by the needs of the position
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
