Job Summary
Lead ESS Installation Technician and oversee work of other technicians on project sites, performing rack builds, panel terminations, device installation, and troubleshooting. Interpret drawing packages to create system bases, maintain job schedules, and communicate timelines to site supervisors daily. Point out drawing or matrix issues immediately and notify parties if equipment is missing or defective. Keep written records of work accomplished, project issues, and site readiness documents in One Note. Assist installation teams with technical questions and coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors independently.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on, recent experience installing access control and video surveillance cameras in a large-scale commercial environment, preferably to include data centers and new construction
- Experience supervising the work of others
- Can demonstrate the ability to train and coach other to the Diversified standards
- Must have the ability to understand access control/CCTV systems, install anything ACS, CCTV, intercom related, and troubleshoot and fix any problems that may arise during the installation process
- Administrative capabilities to keep up with day-to-day requirements of every project
- Proficiency with the following software: Teams, Outlook, OneNote, BlueBeam, Adobe Reader
- Knowledge of the following document types: Project drawings, Programming Matrix, SRDs, UILs, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), Task Hazard Analysis (THAs), Risk Hazard Analysis (RHAs), RFIs, Redlines
- Must be able to review and understand the following: Matrix Drawings, BOM Lists, SRDs
- Must be able to maintain the schedule given for the job and follow DIV28 specifications for quality control
- Experience with the following systems: Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Honeywell, Software House, Bosch, DMP
- Knowledge in mechanical retrofitting of door frames and gates for electric locking hardware and peripheral devices
- Knowledge of accessing network interface for connection to devices such as access controllers, IP cameras, Intercoms, switches and such
- Experience and familiarity with PC admin level changes to connect to IP cameras and the aiming/adjustment of cameras
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a vehicle
- Clean criminal record and able to hold a security clearance/registration for your local jurisdiction (DCJS, TS Clearance, etc)
- Active Passport, or the ability to obtain Active Passport, or the ability to obtain and travel regularly
- Able to work indoors/outdoors, standing, sitting and ladder use. Able to lift 40lbs
- High school or GED equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Lenel experience/ certification preferred
- Lenel Certification - PREFERRED
