Project Search Skills Trainer

Job Summary
Conduct individualized employability skills training and supports for Project SEARCH interns at host businesses, including coaching, creating reasonable accommodations, and performing travel training. Provide job skills development, interview preparation, and safe workplace practices while modeling positive feedback and disability awareness for interns, colleagues, and staff. Collaborate with instructors and department mentors to assess intern progress, develop internship sites, and modify tasks to promote independence and successful competitive employment integration. Complete required certifications, health screenings, and task analyses within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- 2 years' experience
- Successful completion of ACRE Certified Job Coach Certification within 6 months of hire
- Knowledge of information and techniques needed to provide job coaching supports to Project SEARCH interns and to provide guidance and training including appropriate job accommodations
- Assurance and support for safety and security of the employee and the rules, regulations, precautions, prevention, and the protection of people, data, and property as required by the employer and UnityPoint – Allen Hospital
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practice and ability to support inclusive employment
- No felony conviction
- No record of founded dependent child or adult abuse
- Completion of the requirements of health, immunizations, drug test and employee orientation of UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital and Waterloo Schools
