Job Summary
Provide senior-level technical oversight for environmental field activities including Phase II site investigations, UST/AST removals, and remediation projects. Manage projects under the Illinois EPA LUST and Site Remediation Programs by preparing regulatory reports, work plans, and reimbursement documentation. Oversee subcontractors and coordinate with general contractors and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant work completion. Conduct environmental sampling for soil, groundwater, and air monitoring while supporting emergency response projects as needed. Mentor junior scientific staff and promote safe field practices. Requires 4+ years of experience, BS degree in a related field, and current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related scientific field
- 4+ years of environmental consulting or related industry experience with strong technical writing and field oversight responsibilities
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Valid driver's license

- willingness to travel locally to project sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing projects under the Illinois EPA Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Program and Site Remediation Program (SRP), including preparation of regulatory reports, work plans, budgets, and reimbursement documentation
- Experience with UST/AST systems, environmental sampling, remediation oversight, and subcontractor coordination
- Familiarity with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency environmental regulations and tank programs
- 8-hour refresher
