Job Summary
Project Scheduler role within Nova Systems' Defence-focused Project Controls – Schedule and Cost Services. Responsible for maintaining schedule health, integrating projects with Cobra Cost Forecasting, coaching teams on best-practice scheduling, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing high-quality Cobra inputs and analysis for internal and client reporting. Requires proficiency in Cobra, OPP and Excel, experience in project scheduling within Defence, and the ability to coach others. Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement, training materials, and cross-team collaboration; roles located across several Australian cities with a focus on delivery under Defence security requirements. ITAR considerations and Defence clearance are relevant, with Australian citizenship and eligibility for Baseline or NV1 preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in project scheduling, preferably within Defence
- Proficiency in Cobra, OPP and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost forecasting and project lifecycles
- Experience coaching and supporting others
- Experience working in a change management environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
- Able to influence and guide clients
- Team player, flexible and able to work under pressure to deliver quality products to deadlines
- Australian citizenship with Baseline or NV1 security clearance (preferred)
