Job Summary
Implement the RES System (SMS) on wind, solar, substation, transmission, or energy storage projects in the US or Canada. Promote safety culture through coaching, training, and leading discussions at Plan of the Day, All Hands, and Tailgate meetings. Serve as a liaison to regulatory agencies, clients, and third parties during audits and incident investigations. Develop site-specific documentation including Site Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and Emergency Response Plans. Inspect work areas, verify compliance with regulations, and drive corrective actions from root cause analysis. Oversee Permit to Work processes, manage severe weather responses, and coordinate emergency efforts. Procure and maintain safety equipment and PPE. Communicate incidents to the Corporate HSQE Department and facilitate drug and alcohol testing procedures. Operate company vehicles safely while traveling 76-100% domestically and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- High school/GED
- Bachelor's degree in safety or a related technical field
- 2 years of experience in construction safety management on utility-scale projects
- 5 years of experience in construction safety management on utility-scale projects
- OSHA 500 training completion
- CHST certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Domestic and International travel 76-100%
- Intermediate knowledge of ANSI/DOT/EPA/OSHA/NFPA/IEEE/CSA Regulations and Standards
