Job Summary

Implement the RES System (SMS) on wind, solar, substation, transmission, or energy storage projects in the US or Canada. Promote safety culture through coaching, training, and leading discussions at Plan of the Day, All Hands, and Tailgate meetings. Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison for the project team, client, and regulatory agencies during audits and incident investigations. Develop site-specific documentation including Site Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and Emergency Response Plans. Oversee Permit to Work processes, inspect work areas, and verify consistency with procedural and regulatory requirements. Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes, develop reports, and drive corrective actions to completion. Procure and maintain safety materials and PPE, monitor weather conditions, and coordinate emergency response efforts. Facilitate injury management and drug and alcohol testing procedures while operating company vehicles to various site locations. Communicate safety incidents to the Corporate HSQE Department and support the development of safety alerts.

Required Qualifications

  • High school/GED
  • 3 or more years of Construction Industry Safety experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Domestic and International travel 76-100%
  • OSHA 30 Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety related field
  • 5 or more years of Construction Industry Safety experience
  • 3 or more years Energy/Utility Industry Safety experience

  • Certification First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Certification CSP/ASP/GSP/SMP/CRSP/CHSC
