Job Summary
Lead on-site safety efforts by conducting daily field inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits to enforce the Project Safety Management Plan. Perform root cause analysis for incidents, review Job Hazard Analyses and permits, and monitor high-risk activities including excavation, crane operations, and fall protection. Exercise stop-work authority for unsafe conditions while reinforcing site expectations with subcontractors and project leadership. Maintain all safety documentation and reporting requirements. This full-time role involves a two-year construction project with a salary of $40–$45k, offering healthcare, dental, vision, and a 4% 401k match.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 consecutive years dedicated solely to building construction safety experience
- 4-year degree in a construction safety discipline
- 1 year of actual field experience in building construction safety
- OSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 502 certification
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
- Practical knowledge in Fall protection
- Practical knowledge in Scaffolds (supported and suspended)
- Practical knowledge in Excavation and trenching
- Practical knowledge in Confined space (permit and non-permit)
- Practical knowledge in Crane operations and basic rigging
- Practical knowledge in Electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Practical knowledge in Incident investigation
- Practical knowledge in Industrial hygiene for construction
- Practical knowledge in Fire protection and prevention
- Practical knowledge in Respiratory protection
Desired Qualifications
- CSP, CHST, or other nationally recognized safety certifications
