Project Risk Manager (m/w/d)

Job Summary

Lead facilitation of the risk management process for an HVDC offshore project, including identification, assessment, and proactive management of threats and opportunities. Maintain up-to-date risk data adhering to ISO 31000:2018 standards while developing risk management plans, registers, and reports to support management decision-making. Engage project teams, partners, and clients in workshops to establish a robust risk culture and integrate Quantitative Risk Analysis for cost and schedule. Automate risk management processes and tools to increase efficiency, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing across projects. Requires PMI-RMP level competency, experience with large engineering projects, and proficiency in tools like @risk and Xactium. Remote position with 30% travel requirement.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience with large & complex engineering focused projects (major infrastructure, rail, highways, oil & gas, nuclear)
  • Previous experience in consultancy environments
  • Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (QCSRA)
  • Expert with industry tools such as @risk, Safran, ARM, Xactium
  • Broad and diverse background i.e., Project Management, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical), or Data analytics
  • Ability and interest to deep dive into complex analytical issues
  • Competencies equivalent to PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional)
  • Mastery of MS Office tools (e.g., Excel) to support these analytics
  • Willingness and ability to travel (nationally/internationally – around 30%)

Desired Qualifications

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • German is an advantage
  • Erfahrungen in Beratungsunternehmen oder beratungsnahen Umgebungen sind willkommen
  • Kenntnisse in branchenüblichen Tools wie @Risk, Safran, ARM oder Xactium
  • Fachkenntnisse z. B. in Projektmanagement, Statistik, Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Betriebswirtschaft, Ingenieurwesen (Bau-, Maschinenbau- oder Elektrotechnik) oder Datenanalyse
  • Fähigkeit und Interesse, sich intensiv mit komplexen analytischen Fragestellungen auseinanderzusetzen
  • Qualifikationen auf dem Niveau PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) oder vergleichbar sind plus
  • Sicherer Umgang mit MS Office-Anwendungen, insbesondere Excel, zur Unterstützung analytischer Aufgaben
  • Fließende schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Englisch
  • Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil
