Job Summary
Project Quality Engineer sought to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to meet contractual quality requirements and provide protection to Moog and its customers. You will operate in Moog SDG, engaging in activities such as failure analysis, root-cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, audit support including customer & governmental interfaces, and developing quality plans for receiving, manufacturing, assembly & test, and final inspections. You will interact with customers and suppliers to identify root causes and corrective actions, support inspections and source inspections, and contribute to design changes to improve quality and reduce cost. This onsite role in the Buffalo/East Aurora, NY area emphasizes integrity, proactive problem solving, and participation in a culture with strong values; a competitive compensation package, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent STEM
- 8+ years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering in manufacturing
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance
- Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, and database software packages
