Job Summary
Project / Product Manager leads federal government manufacturing projects from concept through delivery, including development of bids and proposals, creating schedules and budgets, coordinating with purchasing/logistics, engaging with customers to clarify requirements, and overseeing execution to meet goals. Responsibilities include identifying critical paths, mitigating schedule risk, coordinating materials and resources, developing product documentation and metrics, and supporting the development of new products and enhancements based on short- and long-term needs. Strong emphasis on collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, data-driven performance evaluation, and ensuring compliance with government contracting requirements. Proficiency with manufacturing/engineering workflows, blueprints/technical documents, and MS Office 365 is required; PMP and Lean experience preferred. Must be able to obtain security clearance and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience performing project management role on complex projects
- Experience with manufacturing or constructing SCIFs, shielded enclosures, and other federal mission critical facilities preferred but not required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Experience with Lean concepts and applying them in a manufacturing environment preferred
